UTSA to use StatMonitr through 2014

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- University of Texas San Antonio and StatBroadcast Systems announced today that they have reached terms to use the StatMonitr media stats system at all UTSA home athletic events and at the annual Valero Alamo Bowl through the end of the 2014 academic year.

UTSA is a public university located in San Antonio, Texas and is the third largest school in the University of Texas System. Foudned in 1969, UTSA's annual enrollment is more than 31,000 students. The UTSA Roadrunners sponsor 17 varsity sports at the NCAA Division-I level. The Runners will play their first athletic events this fall as a member of the Western Athletic Conference before joining Conference USA for the 2013-2014 school year. The UTSA football program, which completed its first year of competition last season as an FCS independent, is in the first year of its two-year FCS to FBS transition period. They will play a split schedule between FCS and FBS opponents in 2012. The Roadrunners will not be eligible for a conference championship or a bowl game invite until their transition period has ended following the 2014 season; all other sports are immediately eligible for the WAC championship and NCAA postseason berths.

As part of this agreement, StatBroadcast will also continue to provide its media stats service to the Valero Alamo Bowl, annually hosted by UTSA at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio.
