West Virginia University selects StatMonitr

MORGANTOWN, WVA. -- StatBroadcast Systems and West Virginia University today announced that West Virginia will use the StatMonitr media stats system and wireless monitor screens for the remainder of the 2012-13 academic year.

West Virginia University is a public land grant university located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Founded in 1867, it has an enrollment of over 30,000 students. The WVU Mountaineers compete at the NCAA Division I level as members of the Big 12 Conference, sponsoring 17 varsity sports. The WVU football team is one of the top 15 programs in FBS in terms of number of victories notched, which includes a 3-0 record in BCS bowl games. The Mountaineers have won 15 conference titles and finished second in the final poll on two occasions. The Mountaineer men's basketball team has won 14 conference regular season championships and 13 tournament championships, resulting in 25 total NCAA tournament appearances, including five consecutive and seven of the last eight. In 2010, the Mountaineers advanced to the Final Four for the second time in school history.
